What's been going on with Ainiti... |
|
|
We continue to provide our kids with facilities and technology to better their ability to better and gain confidence. As part of this project we have added a new digital screen at the Ainiti learning center. We are excited to be moving to a new, bigger and better classroom by the end of this month. While learning about computers is good first step forward for the kids, we want our kids to do their best in every field they endeavor. We strongly believe English is a global language and will give our students a huge advantage. To this end, we will be launching a new course, Basic English-Speaking Course for Hindi Speakers. This will focus mainly on improving English communication skills. We have spent the last three months developing and testing this course and are finally now all set to launch. More on the learning front! We are planning to launch an Advance Computer Course shorty. This course we will focus on the Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

We recently created a "Fun Community Board" at Ainiti this is a great medium for our girls to showcase their talents. Students who are good at painting, crafts or modelling have come up with beautiful artwork to display, and are front and center for everyone to see enjoy. Ainiti has played a crucial role in developing our student's mindset, before becoming a part of Ainiti students had no definite goals. When asked about future plans or further studies we were met by a blank stare. Yes we are making a difference, now students have started to understand the significance of learning and we see a whole bunch of future teachers, lawyers and doctors in our class and a few big sportsmen too!

Shoes, Clothes & Book distribution drive |
|
|
Ainiti recently hosted a very successful Shoes, Clothes & Book distribution drive on 1st Feb, 2019. About 20 Ainiti volunteers in US, teamed up to collect and distribute much needed items to girls in need in Mumbai, India. SHOES - Donated shoes are a desperate necessity. Your new and gently-worn shoes have really made a difference to those in need and helped someone in less fortunate conditions walk a mile in your shoes. This donation of your shoes to charity has helped children and adults stay safe and healthy - and keep moving! CLOTHES - Clothing donations provide a lot of confidence to our students. Your clothing donations through Ainiti made an impact in lives of kids & individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. These donations have even kept the kids & their families warm at night when the temperatures dropped. BOOKS - One of the best things about books is that they can be reused almost indefinitely! Donating your used books was a great way to find them a loving home and with your generosity Ainiti was able to distribute books to kids who are willing to improve on their communication & knowledge through books. |

She has shown great appetite to learn, amazingly kind and helpful nature, always focused on her work while also leading other who lag behind.
Madhu Singh Yadav is in 8th grade and studies at St. Anthony's High School. She wishes to take up fine arts as her career when she grows up. She closely follows the world of animation and that is the solely focused becoming an artist or a cartoonist. Her parents are not educated but that does not stop them from getting their daughter what they don't have that power of knowledge, they are also very supportive towards her passion. "I thank God every time I come to Ainiti because it is the best gift I have received from him. I obviously knew computer was a very useful invention but had no clue that we could do so much more with it. Especially in the field of art, Microsoft Paint is the topic I love the most because I am into art and there is nothing more satisfying than making a digital drawing. Also, I would like to thank our Tutor for helping me learn and patiently correcting my mistakes and once again Thank you to the people who started Ainiti." -Madhu Singh Yadav

We are ecstatic to report that our yearend show drive was a resounding success. Late year we polled our Team and students about the greatest needs locally. The answer immediate was "Shoes!!" Our students walk miles to get to class either barefoot or in a pair of torn and tattered sneakers. The work went out to local schools in Torrance, Chambers of Commerce, Girl Scout Troops, family and friends. The result our office was flooded with boxes, cartons and bags of shoes. When the sorting and counting was done we had a whopping 4oo pairs of girls shoes that we began shipping to Ainiti - India almost immediately. Thank you to all the everyone that participated. |

We are tremendously grateful for your support of Ainiti. Your generous donations have allowed us to grow. We have been able to bring more girls into the course and supply them with resources they need. You have not only helped change these young girls lives but helped us with our movement for a better inclusive world.
A heartfelt thank you to some of our donors this past December:
