What's been going on with Ainiti... |
|
|
Ainiti is working on innovative ways to boost the student's abilities by introducing new and fun courses. The latest course that we are eager to present is Conversational English. To help launch this new course, we introduced a new activity - "Story Telling." Every student is given a topic and gets a weeks' time to compose a story. Once the students arrive at Ainiti they have to narrate their story to the whole class. Putting this activity in practice will eventually be a game changer for the kids as this will help eliminate stage fright, help with their communication skills, develop good body language and ultimately enhance their vocabulary and over all personality. |

Students are very enthusiastic with the art and craft program and were very happy to give us their paintings as parting gifts. They also try to learn new Painting techniques when they get a chance to be on the internet. With the addition of Google Translate to our new Advance course, girls have been very eager to try and learn new languages. With the introduction of our new Fun Activity (Story Telling) every student has started to visit the school library to read novels. This helps them in building their own stories. Our spotlight kid is from a Marathi Medium School.. She first wrote the story in Marathi and slowly translated it into English. With the help of Google Translate she gave it her final stroke. And came up with a beautiful story for the class.

Maya is a confident kid. She tries to assist others if they fail to understand something taught in class. She is brilliant and has been doing pretty good.. Only time will tell whether she wins the Tab or not, but this girl has a lot of potential.
Maya Hagavane is 15 years old, and in grade 10. She lives with her parents, both of whom are uneducated. Maya's mom is a house maid and earns a living by doing household work (Mopping floors, washing dishes, clothes etc). Maya occasionally helps her mother in times of emergency. Maya's dad works as a manual laborer. Luckily for Maya, her parents want to provide her with good education. Her favorite subjects are Mathematics, Biology and Geography. "I come from a background that does not favor our education, yet I'm thankful to God and my parents for providing me with the opportunity to do so. Ainiti is like a priceless gift given to us all. I always envied the kids of other schools and wondered how good they are with computers. Although we have Computers as a separate subject in our school, I have learnt so much more at Ainiti. Thanks to Ainiti today I have the knowledge that will definitely make my future bright." -Maya Hagavane

Every day, your support makes stories like Maya's possible.
This Quarter we launch English classes for our students. Combined together English and Basic Computer learning classes should get us to our goal of provided 1000 girls access to learning each year. This year our goal is to raise $25,000 by December 31st, 2019. If we raise that amount, we will be able to provide additional classes, activities, food and clothing to these under privileged girls.
Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us meet our goal and empower 500 more endangered girls. We simply can't do it without you. Your support will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of those who are still in need.
$100- provides one girl with six weeks of computer training
$250- feeds all girls for a six-week course
$500- provides three weeks of training an entire class
$1,000- provides six weeks of training for an entire class
$5,000- funds supports our extensive English course
$10,000- funds the hiring of an executive director
